Several Carmichael residents interested in gardening have been meeting with the Carmichael Recreation and Park District with the goal of establishing a community garden at Sutter Park (Sutter Avenue & Orangerie).      Sutter Park is currently undeveloped and there are several acres of flat terrain in full sun; a perfect site for a one-acre community garden. Our group feels that a garden fits in well with Carmichael’s semi-rural identity and would provide all of Carmichael’s residents with a way to participate in this very popular recreational activity.
